While I didn't get the Odessa job I really wanted, and was reluctantly coming to the conclusion that my overdraft wouldn't be able to cope with another Russian assault, and was not relishing going to Turkey which would have been a lot of work for ill pay - I go and land a job in Sicily!
I leave on Monday which is really soon but there is nothing really to keep me here. 3 of the puppies have left home...
Actually this has worked out well. It's a 6 month gig, I'm pretty well guaranteed a summer job for at least 3 places and I should be able to go to Russia in September. And in the meanwhile I get to live in a seaside town in a fascinating part of the world which is famous for fine food and wine! (And corruption and chaos and other things which make me happy!!!) What could be better!!!
